AMERICAN ENDODONTIC SOCIETY REQUIREMENTS FOR MASTERSHIP

500 CREDITS REQUIRED

 1.*  Three year continuous membership in AES. (100 credits)

 2.*   AES Fellowship is a prerequisite.

 3.*   Continued education of 45 hours in three years. AGD, ADA CERP, or CE equivalents for three year period. Study club, video courses, table clinics, dental meetings. All attendance must be confirmed. (100 credits)

 4.*   Documentation of 130 teeth using N2 or RC-2B or 2W, with or without gutta percha. Completed on AES Forms (FORMS CAN BE DUPLICATED). X-rays can be duplicates of excellent quality, including pre-op, immediate post-op and 2 year or more follow-up. Failures will be accepted if fully documented on why failed and disposition of case.   (maximum of 5 failures). (125 credits)

 5.  Reimplantation or/and apicoectomy. (25 credits each)

 6.  Trephination. (20 credits each)

 7.  Pulpotomies - Vital permanent or deciduous. (25 credits each maximum 3)


 8.   Endodontic articles published by you or will be published in any journal including the AES Newsletter. (50 credits each)

 

 9. Outstanding service to organized dentistry; i.e. President on  local, district, state or national level. Or Fellowship in AGD, ICD, ACD, Pierre Fauchard or other recognized society. Member of society council or chairman of committee. (50 credits each)


10. Academic position involved in teaching of any dental subjects. Presented or will present a table clinic at a dental convention.     (25 credits each)


11. Participation in and completion of N2/FDA Clinical Studies, during the years 2004 +.   (100 credits)

12. * Mastership requirements to be presented in a bound book form (or loose leaf binder) with total explanation.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS August 31ST. If your Mastership application is not accepted, $75 administration fee will be retained and the balance will be refunded to you or held over. You may reapply next year.
